This square-shaped force sensor operates by using a deformable spring element—such as a beam or diaphragm—that changes its resistance based on applied pressure. It features a sensing area of 1.75 x 1.5 inches, making it suitable for detecting touch or force across a broad surface.
The sensor exhibits variable resistance: the greater the force applied, the lower the resistance. With no pressure, its resistance exceeds 1MΩ. It is capable of detecting forces in the range of 100g to 10kg, making it ideal for applications that require moderate force sensitivity.
